Macbeth was a misguided person. He was being pressured by his wife to kill Duncan. Macbeth had doubts about killing him multiple times, but everytime Lady Macbeth was there to change his mind.
If you would combine the two, you’ll get you’re answer. The whole play is about the downfall of a misguided man who is easily manipulated.
No tony no! It is about a man with evil intentions in his heart and with the help of witches and his wife those intentions surfaced.
The witches didnt really make him do anything. They just told him his future. Lady MB misguided him.
Macbeth is about a man who is easily manipulated because none of this would have happened if Lady Macbeth didn’t try to tell him what to do all the time!
i think that Macbeth is about a man who is easily influenced by those around him because if Lady Macbeth didn’t influence him in the beginning then he wouldn’t have killed the king in the first place.
In the beginning of the play, Macbeth was misguided and manipulated, but towards the middle, he became a power hungry, satanic tyrant. Not really satanic, but just crazy. He controlled his own destiny, so this isn’t only Lady M’s fault, but his as well.
It’s about both. He was misguided to become a tyrant. He was perfectlyb fine without the manipulation of Lady M and the witches. He is just misguided and his downfall he brought on himself.
Stupid thing deleted my answer.
Macbeth wasn’t misguided, just pushed in the direction he would have eventually followed.
Being misguided started the whole thing, but the majority of the story is about the downfall of a tyrant. He pretended to be valiant to get where he wanted and then once he got there he let the power get to his head, like so many rulers have.
Be quiet.
Macbeth is a tyrant. He wanted the power from the beginning. Although he wasn’t up front and evil about it at first, he still wanted it. He thought about the witches all the time. He is not misguided by his wife. They’re both evil.
They are both evil. Macbeth is for allowing himself to fall victim of peer pressure, and L. Macbeth is wrong for pressuring him to do it in the first place.
I think it’s a bit of both. I think that him being misguided led him to become a tyrant. I guess once he started killing he couldn’t stop but it all sprung from the foul influence of others.
Macbeth wanted the power and Lady Macbeth pushed him to get it. She controlled him in the begining but once he saw what he had to do, he continued to do it.
Exactly. I can completely agree with you on this one. He was the one that wrote the letter to her informing him of the witches and his power. He wants the power and his wife may want it more, but he took complete control.
Macbeth possesses the qualities of both. He is a misguided person and in being so leads him to be easily manipulated. Lady Macbeth conviced him that murdering the king was not at all a bad thing. In reality, she didn’t want anything to do with committing the murder but she wanted the power that Macbeth would receive in the end.
He’s both. In the beginning, it was just him happy to be serving his king, but after that prophecy he heard from those witches, he changed a little. When his wife stuck her nose into it all, he became the misguided fellow we could feel a bit sympathetic with. He even had doubts when it came to it, but was henpecked by his wife to continue. After his gain of total power, he went berserk and did his absolute best to hold onto his power and eradicate anybody who stood in his way. That’s the tyrant we come to wish would die already.
